Alfredo Pherez Farah

PhD student

Alfredo Pherez-Farah obtained his MD from Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Medicine, Mexico, in 2020. He also earned a MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the same institute in 2022, where his research focused on lymphoma metabolism.

His competencies in the hematology field were reinforced through clinical rotations in Spain and France, where he gained hands-on experience in managing hematologic disorders. In 2022, Alfredo was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Cofund Fellowship as part of the UNIPhD program at the University of Padua, Italy.

Currently his research in the Pasqual Lab focuses on tumor immunology, specifically investigating how immune cell interactions within the tumor microenvironment influence the response to cellular immunotherapies. In 2024 Alfredo also served as visiting scientist at the Lausanne branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Switzerland, further advancing his expertise in translational cancer immunotherapy.
